Learn more about the origin of our denim and how to take care of it.

How we choose our fabrics

At LEBL studios we use beautifully produced fabrics that are predominantly made in Japan and the USA. The greatest inspiration we draw from the Japanese denim culture. Since the Japanese started their denim production in the early 50s, they have developed unique ways of producing different kinds of denim. Every single step in the process is done with the highest precision. Starting with the right cotton, followed by spinning, dying and weaving – they are passionate about every detail and create the most outstanding denim fabrics.

We always have around 15 different fabrics and qualities on stock. These fabrics range mainly from 11oz up to 16oz. We like to buy small quantities from our suppliers, to keep it exclusive for our customers and we are always looking for new, innovative fabrics.

Our fabrics range from lighter indigo fabrics towards the super heavy indigo dyed and black fabrics. Thereby we are able to offer a great selection of well-sourced qualities. We don't use any stretch fabrics, as we believe this is not satisfying our standards. All fabrics are made from 100% cotton or contain natural materials like hemp.
